The engine arrive with 53.9 cu. (883 cc) type air-cooled, evolution®valves pushrod-operated, overhead valves with hydraulic, self-adjusting lifters, two-valves per cylinder, fuel system used Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) and 5-speed of transmission with multi-plate clucth. The engine used aluminum heads and cylinders lighten the load of the bike and improve air-cooling efficiency. Electronic fuel injection used carburetors and boasts increased reliability and less routine maintenance.
