Phlebotomy Certification Exam Study Guide & Practice Test In most some states certification is now required for Phlebotomists. There are three 3 certifying bodies. It should be a minimum of one (1) year of paid or volunteer experience and not a clinical experience. A letter that verifies the length experience from your employer and a certification fee of $100.00. Association of Phlebotomy Technicians (ASPT). Completed an accredited phlebotomy training program. 100 successful documented venipunctures.
5 successful skin punctures and. A current member of ASPT.
American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). High school graduate or equivalent. Completed 40 classroom hours. 120 hands-on training hours. 100 successful, unaided blood collections.
